PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage, wrong position, and effect of curling of a label, in a labelling machine for affixing a label to an article by joining the flow of the label with the article being conveyed. SOLUTION: This labelling machine includes a label holding mechanism 21 for holding the label L from a label issue portion 18, a label conveyer 22 for conveying the label L from the holding mechanism 21 toward an upper article X, and a solenoid 28 for delivering the label L held by the label holding mechanism 21 to the label conveyer 22 by oscillating the label holding mechanism 21 so that the flow of the label L conveyed by the label conveyer 22 is joined with the flow of the article X at a predetermined timing.
