FIELD: machine building.SUBSTANCE: suggested are methods and systems for implementation of multiple switching with downshift of transmission in transmission gear by means of intermediate gear. In response to air mass flow not reaching threshold value for self-cleaning of charge air cooler within set period of time, transmission gear can be switched with gear downshift from top gear to intermediate gear, and then to requested bottom gear. Switching with downshift of transmission through intermediate gear can also be controlled based on gear switching request and maximum levels of air mass flow for misfiring in engine.EFFECT: improved working characteristics of engine.21 cl, 5 dwg
