Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for setting a reference signal. A wireless apparatus receives a primary synchronization signal (PSS) transmitted by a first orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) from a second OFDM symbol, and can search information for setting a reference signal on the basis of symbol numbers of the first OFDM symbol and the second OFDM symbol. Inter-cell interference can be reduced by means of a variety of methods for setting a reference signal. |

1. A cell search method, comprising:
receiving a Primary Synchronization Signal (PSS) transmitted in a first Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol; receiving a Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS) transmitted in a second OFDM symbol; calculating a difference value between a symbol number of the first OFDM symbol and a symbol number of the second OFDM symbol; and searching for the Cell-specific Reference Signal (CRS) based on the difference value, wherein the CRS is transmitted only in a frequency band corresponding to 6 Resource Blocks (RBs) when using a center frequency of an entire frequency band, and wherein the CRS is a reference signal generated based on a cell ID. |
