摘要 The invention relates to a cooling unit for a heat exchanger integrated in an oxygenator, which heat exchanger is for controlling the temperature of blood conducted in an extracorporeal circuit, said cooling unit comprising a first container which is at least partially filled with a liquid working agent that can be brought into thermal contact with a heat transfer liquid of the heat exchanger. The invention is characterised in that: a second container is provided which encompasses a sorbent in a fluid-tight manner and under vacuum conditions, and which directly adjoins the first container via at least one contact section; and an actuatable release means is provided in the contact section, which release means, when actuated, generates a locally restricted fluid connection between the first and second containers, via which connection the liquid working medium escapes into the second container, forming a working medium vapour and extracting heat from the liquid working medium contained in the first container.
