An electronic cigarette vaporiser system including a vaporiser (1) and a single piezoelectric pump (6) that both withdraws liquid from a cartridge (3) and also pumps controlled amounts of liquid into a reservoir in the vaporizer (1). The piezo-pump (6) can be in a case (100) that enables the vaporiser (1) to be stored, and the cartridge (3) is attached to or inserted into the case (100). The case (100) both re-fills the vaporiser (1) with liquid and re-charges a battery in the vaporiser (1). The pump (6) can have control circuitry can provide data to an electronics module that can determine the amount of e-liquid left in the cartridge and remaining pump cycles. The pump (6) can have a sensor that enables prevents over-filling the vaporiser reservoir (1). The pump (6) can have means of clearing blockages by rapidly switching between forward and reverse pumping. |
