CATALYST AND MANUFACTURING METHOD OF CATALYST

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve oxidation resistance that is the weakest point of an inexpensive nonnoble-metal-based material with regard to a reforming catalyst for reforming alcoholic fuel to hydrogen and a shift catalyst for converting CO in reformed gas to CO2.

SOLUTION: A spinel complex oxide CuAl2O4is reduced at an elevated temperature to obtain a stable texture where Cu particles are highly dispersed on the surface. Similarly, metal Cu and metal Co are deposited simultaneously from a complex material of CuAl2O4and CoAl2O4. A resultant catalyst is easily reactivated by oxidation while keeping high catalyst performance.
