PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize an increase in cost and to prevent the acquisition of a demodulated signal of a low signal level which brings about reliability deterioration without being affected by noise, in a receiving circuit for receiving a radio signal subjected to ASK modulation. SOLUTION: In the receiving circuit, a waveform shaped signal obtained by being amplified and waveform-shaped is further inputted to a comparator 23, subjected to waveform shaping, and supplied to a digital format to be supplied to an AND gate 25 in an FMIF integrated circuit 14 while the RSSI signal of an RSSI circuit 22 incorporated into the FMIF integrated circuit 14 is taken into a reliability determination circuit 7; a comparator 24 compares the RSSI signal with a threshold, and when the RSSI signal exceeds the threshold; and a determination signal for allowing data to be acquired is outputted to the AND gate 25. Thus, demodulated data from the comparator 23 is inputted to a microcomputer 8 when the output voltage of the RSSI circuit 22 is equal to or greater than a prescribed voltage value.
