PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover opening and closing device which can be made compact and whose assembling performance can be improved. SOLUTION: The cover opening and closing device which can conceal or expose a terminal part 14 in a camera body 1 is provided with a cover body 20 having a size large enough to conceal the terminal part 14 and a support member 30 for supporting the cover body 20 freely openably and closable with respect to a housing 11 of the camera body 1, wherein one end side of the support member 30 is fixed to the housing 11 and the cover body 20 is supported slidably by the other end side.
