摘要 A method and an apparatus for HMSVC(Hybrid Multiview and Scalable Video Coding) are provided to adjust a TS(Transport Stream) selectively according to a display view and required quality, thereby enabling a user to select the display view and quality and extending a range of a transmission bandwidth. At least one camera receives image signals(S0~S6) for a multi-view image. Downsampling of an input image signal for a base layer is performed. The input image signal is inputted to a decoder. An input image signal for an enhanced layer is inputted to a decoder as it is. By referring to each base layer, the enhanced layer with high quality is encoded. A concatenated MVC/SVC(Multiview Video Coding/Scalable Video Coding) NAL(Network Abstraction Layer) header or a restricted SVC NAL header using an SPS, MVC NAL header is used in a bit string of the enhanced layer generated when the enhanced layer is encoded. The bit string generated in each encoder is added to one or plural bit strings to be transmitted to an MANE(Media Aware Network Element). Bit strings of the base layer is transmitted all. Bit strings of the enhanced layer are selectively transmitted according to a view change command. The bit strings reaching the decoder are divided into bit strings of the base layer and bit strings of the enhanced layer through a demultiplexer, and inputted and decoded to a corresponding decoder respectively. The bit strings of the enhanced layer correspond to a view to be watched with high quality currently and are decoded by referring to the same view of the base layer.
