An operating arrangement for an electrical switch, it being possible to couple an operating lever, which is normally in the isolating position, to a switch key via a profile arrangement which can be moved into the effective position by means of an unblocking element. The technical problem is to construct the operating arrangement such that only a very small restoring force can be detected in the switched-on position, which restoring force does not lead to tiring or cramp in the operator, and such that, on the other hand, reliable resetting is ensured when the operating lever is released. The operating lever (16) carries a profiled disc (19). A two-armed pivoting lever (23) has one profiled arm (27) for engagement in the profiled disc (19) and one switching arm (26) for engagement with the switch key (8). The pivoting lever (23) can be displaced in the axial direction by means of an unblocking element (unblocking button 24). <IMAGE>
