PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct acting guide mechanism substantially eliminating the need for exchanging a raceway by minimizing the wear of the raceway. SOLUTION: A ball bearing rolling body comprising an inner ring 14 fitted in the tip of a bolt member 13 and an outer ring 16 rotating around the outside of the outer ring 14 via an rolling element 15 such as a sphere, etc., is used as a rolling body 12. A contact surface in contact with at least the raceway of the outer ring 16 of the rolling body 12 is coated by a coating layer 18 having hardness lower than lower than the hardness of the metallic material forming the raceway 6. The raceway 6 having a high hardness processed in this manner does not substantially wear, but the coating layer 18 of the outer ring 16 of the rolling body 12 wears.
