<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine unit improving air intake efficiency of an air intake passage to send air to the inside of a case to house a continuously variable transmission. <P>SOLUTION: This engine unit 10 is furnished with: an engine 11 arranged on a lower part of a vehicle body; the air intake passage 40 for the engine to supply air to the engine 11; an air cleaner 45 to purify outside air to be sent to the air intake passage 40 for the engine; a transmission case 38 to house the belt type continuously variable transmission 30: and the air intake passage 70 for the transmission to send air to the inside of the transmission case 38. The transmission case 38 is arranged in parallel with the engine 11 in the vehicle width direction. The air intake passage 40 for the engine extends to the upper side from a front part of the engine 11. The air intake passage 70 for the transmission extends to the upper side from a front part of the case 38 for the transmission in the vehicle width direction of the air cleaner 45 and the air intake passage 40 for the engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
