PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user with a message regarding disconnection of a communication line when the communication line is disconnected. SOLUTION: When a telephone number is detected in a detection circuit 30, that telephone number is compared with telephone numbers in a storage part 20 by a comparator circuit 32. When any telephone number is mismatched, disconnection information is outputted from an output circuit 34, a forcible disconnection relay 24 is opened, the disconnection information is transferred from a controller 44 of a MODEM chip through a PC interface 42 to a personal computer 50, and a message regarding the above disconnection is indicated on a display screen of a display part in the personal computer 50.
