[Class 49] An infants' food, which can be used in admixture with warm milk, is prepared by mixing cereal flour with lime-containing water to form a thin dough which is baked under pressure in a thin layer, the resulting cake, after cooling, being pulverized. In the example given, wheat flour, oatmeal, or a mixture of different varieties of flour, is mixed with a suspension obtained by stirring up freshly precipitated calcium carbonate in water. The thin pulp obtained is poured on a heated metal plate and is pressed out by a second heated metal plate to a thin layer. The plates are heated to 160-180‹ C. The thin cake obtained is allowed to cool to 15-20‹ C. and ground to a powder which is sieved. |
