摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a disk drive in which a cost can be reduced and an adjustment process is simplified by enabling to reduce the number of processes of solder-short about an pickup in a manufacturing process of a disk drive and unnecessitating a tool substrate for adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: After a process (step 11) in which a traverse unit is assembled to a frame of the disk drive, a process (step 12) in which a control substrate is placed on an upper part of the disk drive, a process (step 13) in which the pickup substrate or the like are connected electrically to the control substrate, and a step (step 14) in which short circuit between an anode electrode and a cathode electrode of a laser light emitting element provided at a pickup unit is released are performed, adjustment of the pickup unit is performed (step 16), and operation of the pickup unit in the adjustment processes is controlled by using the control substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
