PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic porous body available as a ceramic filter or a bone regenerating material because the ceramic porous body comprises ultrafine ceramic fibers, has high porosity and contains many continuous pores. SOLUTION: The ceramic porous body comprises aggregate of ceramic fibers and satisfies following requirements (a) and (b) at the same time, that is, (a) the average fiber diameter of the ceramic fiber constituting the porous body is 50-200 nm and (b) the density of the porous body is 0.01-2 g/cm<SP>3</SP>.
