PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can execute printing processing at a high speed even when printing jobs related to the same printing data are received repeatedly. SOLUTION: The printer 1 is equipped with a printing job receiving part 3 which receives the printing job, a buffer 5 which holds the printing job received at the printing job receiving part 3 and a waiting printing job, a printing job comparing part 7 which compares the received printing job and the waiting printing job both held in the buffer 5 with each other, a printing copy number changing part 9 which adds a printing copy number shown by information related to the printing copy number included in the received printing job to a printing copy number shown by information related to the printing copy number included in the waiting printing job on the basis of the comparison result by the printing job comparing part 7, thereby rewriting information related to a printing copy number according to the added result, and a printing part 11 which analyzes the printing job held in the buffer 5 and prints an analyzed image on a predetermined recording medium.
