<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external cover which can be easily detached without requiring an unnecessary time and labor or a force, and improved in workability, quiet sound and safety by firmly positioning its circumference. <P>SOLUTION: A lower back cover 20 of the image forming apparatus 1 includes: a hook 22 provided at the lower part of the lower back cover 20 extending downward on a body 2 side, and inserted nearly perpendicularly downward in a supporting part 17 at the body 2 side and engaged therewith to support the lower back cover 20; and a positioning piece 23 provided at the upper part of the lower back cover 20 extending nearly horizontally toward the body 2 side, and inserted nearly horizontally in a positioning hole 18a at the body 2 side and engaged therewith to position the lower back cover. Thus, the lower back cover 20 is automatically separated from the body 2 only by lifting up the lower back cover 20 by using the action of gravity depending on a constitution of the hook 22 and the weight of a cover body 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
