PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cartridge capable of securing a stable reel locked state and thereby preventing the loosening of a tape caused by the rotation of a tape reel due to falling impacts or the like. SOLUTION: A reel locking mechanism is provided with a reel lock gear 27 formed along the outer circumferential edge of a tape reel 14, and a reel lock member 25 (26) having a gear part 25a to be engaged with the reel lock gear 27. A regulation part 25e for regulating the upward movement of the tape reel during reel locking is installed in a position directly above the gear part 25a of the reel locking member 25. Thus, by holding the stable posture of the tape reel 14, the tape loosening caused by the rotation of the tape reel 14 due to falling impacts or the like is prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
