PURPOSE: A gateway for a vehicle and an input signal processing method thereof are provided to make a signal process protocol convert signals inputted through each different communication port in order to output the signals to one of other communication ports. CONSTITUTION: If a signal is inputted through one port of as a high speed can port, a low speed can port, a K-line port and an on/off peripheral port(S10), a micro controller analyzes the protocol of the inputted signal, and outputs an ID protocol value(S20). A unit connected to the communication ports decides to communicate with which one of units connected to the other communication ports(S30). Drivers of corresponding communication ports or the micro controller convert the protocol of the input signal(S40), and newly sets up an input signal with the converted protocol(S50) to output the input signal to corresponding communication ports(S60). If the micro controller outputs state signals between the corresponding communication ports, an LED driver makes an LED display to emit light to display a communication relay state between the corresponding communication ports(S70).
