PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method of dust collection drain from a metal resource recovery melting furnace capable of separating floating substances from dust collection drain from the metal resource recovery melting furnace to a preferable state, using only an organic flocculant reducing running cost, and economically treating. SOLUTION: In this treating method of dust collection drain from the metal resource recovery melting furnace for separating floating substances in dust collection drain (raw water) from the metal resource recovery melting furnace by a chemical precipitation method, an anion-based polymer flocculant with a colloidal equivalent of 9-16 meq/g is used, and the flocculant is added to the raw water to make its concentration in the treating object water at least 0.3 mg/l or more, then precipitation treatment is performed.
