PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor which maintains superior sensitivity and effectively suppresses the exposure memory, even when it is repeatedly used, by incorporating an electron transport agent, having a specific structure, into a photosensitive layer of an electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is a multilayer electrophotographic photoreceptor, having a photosensitive layer, containing at least a charge generating agent, an electron transport agent and a binder resin on a substrate directly or by way of an intermediate layer, wherein the electron transport agent is a compound represented by Formula (1), wherein R<SP>1</SP>-R<SP>4</SP>are each independently a substituent, such as H or a 1-12C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, and Ar is a 13-40C substituted or unsubstituted aryl group.
