The procedure for controlling the clearance (18) between the tips (16a) of mobile high-pressure turbine rotor blades (16) and an outer housing ring (22) consists of heating the ring by means of an electrical resistance circuit (30) or an induction coupling during the rotor's acceleration phase. The electrical energy used for the heaters is provided by a generator connected to the turbine rotor.
