<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-junction thin-film photoelectric converter, having high conversion efficiency and which has a high open-circuit voltage, by balancing the short-circuit current value at a high value, by serially connecting silicon-based and CIS-based thin-film photoelectric conversion units. <P>SOLUTION: This multi-junction thin-film photoelectric converter is provided with a silicon-based thin film photoelectric conversion units 3 and 5, a CIS-based thin film photoelectric conversion unit 7, and these units are serially connected via intermediate layers 4 and 6. A more efficient multi-junction thin-film photoelectric converter can be provided, because the photoelectric conversion of near-infrared light of 1,100 nm or longer can be made though it is difficult for the silicon-based thin film photoelectric converter to carry out such a conversion, and because sunlight spectrum can be used widely used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
