PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which noise arising in a power transformer can be predicted with high accuracy.SOLUTION: In predicting noise arising in a power transformer provided with an iron core formed by stacking a plurality of directional electromagnetic steel sheets and fixing them by fastening, a magnetic flux density waveform within the iron core which is magnetized to a prescribed magnetic flux density is figured out; then an exciting voltage at which the magnetic flux density waveform within the iron core arises is given to a sample; the magneto-strain vibration thereby generated in the sample is measured; and noise is predicted from the measured magneto-strain vibration with the influence of fastening being taken into account. |
