<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup system which can be made small and generate stabilized push-pull signals. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup system 10 is configured by including a light source 12, an objective lens 13, a diffraction element 17, and a photo detector 16. The diffraction element 17 receives the light reflected on an optical recording medium 11. The photo detector 16 receives the light flux diffracted by the diffraction element 17 and a plurality of light-receiving areas 20 are formed in the photo detector 16. The light-receiving areas 20 output the signals corresponding to the light amount of the received light flux. The optical pickup system 10 is connected to a control driver. The control driver obtains push-pull signals by calculating the differences among the output signals from a plurality of light-receiving areas 20 and controls and drives the objective lens 13 based on the obtained push-pull signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
