PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine that can treat and/or prevent an eye disease, a depressant of degeneration of a retinal cell and/or cell death, a depressant of visual dysfunction, and reduction of risk of an eye disease, or a food product for maintaining or improving a visual function.SOLUTION: There are provided a treatment agent and/or a preventive agent of an eye disease containing branched-chain amino acid (BCAA) as an active ingredient, a depressant of degeneration of a retinal cell and/or cell death containing BCAA as an active ingredient, a depressant of visual dysfunction containing BCAA as an active ingredient, and furthermore a food product for reducing the risk of eye disease, or maintaining or improving visual function which contains BCAA as an active ingredient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
