MOBILE USER INTERFACE FOR SMART-HOME HAZARD DETECTOR CONFIGURATION |
摘要 |
System for displaying hazard events and adjusting hazard detector settings on a mobile device can include: a user interface executed on the mobile device, a hazard detector, and a computer server system communicatively coupled to the mobile device and hazard detector. The user interface can receive an adjusted value for a setting of the hazard detector and transmit the adjusted value to the computer server system. The computer server system may: determine that the adjusted value corresponds to the hazard detector, receive a check-in event from the hazard detector, and transmit the adjusted value to the hazard detector in response to receiving the check-in event. The hazard detector may then apply the adjusted value to the setting. |

1. A hazard detector system, comprising:
a battery-powered hazard detector, comprising:
a hazard sensor;a wireless transceiver that communicates with a computer server system via the Internet;a processing system communicatively coupled with the hazard sensor and the wireless transceiver, the processing system configured to:
cause a check-in event to be transmitted by the wireless transceiver to the computer server system via the Internet, wherein the processing system is configured to periodically cause check-in events to be transmitted to the computer server system to retrieve one or more setting values that have been adjusted during a time period since a previous check-in event;receive, from the computer server system via the wireless transceiver, in response to the transmitted check-in event, an adjusted setting value for a setting;apply the adjusted setting value received in response to the transmitted check-in event to a setting of the battery-powered hazard detector; andoperate the battery-powered hazard detector in accordance with the adjusted setting value. |
