The invention consists in forming a multiplicity of continuous filaments (12) by mechanical drawing of a multiplicity of strands of molten thermoplastic material(s) flowing from the orifices of at least one device, which consists in depositing on the surface of at least a proportion of the filaments a mixture in the liquid state (13) capable of reacting under the effect of an ultraviolet radiation, before they are brought together (15) into at least one yarn (14), in reeling the said yarn in the form of a winding on a rotating support (17) and in exposing the said winding to an ultraviolet radiation (21) during the reeling operation.
