<p>The plastics pipe section (1) has a temperature sensor which is a potential source of unwanted leaks. The temperature sensor is contained in a metallic bush (2) which crosses from one side of the tube to the other, and is cast into the tube wall. One end (7) of the bush is open-ended to admit the temperature sensor, and is surrounded by plastics forming part of the tube. The bush head incorporates one or more circular grooves (13) into which molten plastics flows during the casting process. The grooves may be dovetail (14,15) shaped.</p> |
