PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for a voice control of a vehicular element, for example, a hatch, a trunk, or an engine hood of an automobile, from the outside of a vehicle compartment. SOLUTION: The method for a voice control of at least one vehicular element from the outside of the vehicle compartment, comprises the steps of: arranging at least one microphone, in particular, a directional microphone, in a lamp housing installed in the vehicle body outside of the vehicle compartment; detecting a verbal utterance by means of at least one microphone to acquire at least one microphone signal; processing at least one microphone signal for speech recognition of the verbal utterance to acquire a recognition result; and automatically controlling at least one vehicular element on the basis of the recognition result.
