PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast slab scarfing device capable of mechanizing a scarfing operation and scarfing end surfaces at longitudinal both ends of a cast slab.SOLUTION: The cast slab scarfing device includes first guide rails 12 and 13 horizontally arranged in the longitudinal direction of a cast slab 11, second guide rails 14 and 15 horizontally arranged in the width direction of the cast slab 11 and fitted to the first guide rails 12 and 13 so as to travel along the first guide rails 12 and 13, driving sources 25 and 29 for running the second guide rails 14 and 15, a moving frame 16 moving along the second guide rails 14 and 15, a nozzle support material 18 fitted to a support material holding mechanism 17 supported on the moving frame 16 so as to be lifted, a driving source 39 for lifting the nozzle support material 18, a driving source 36 for rotating the nozzle support material 18 around a vertical shaft, a round nozzle 19 fitted to the nozzle support material 18 so as to tilt with respect to the vertical shaft, and to jet out oxygen gas, and a driving source 40 for rotating the round nozzle 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
