A polishing rod of a pipe inner diameter polishing device and a method thereof are provided to effectively remove weld beads and foreign matter on the inner diameter of a pipe. A polishing rod(100) of a pipe inner diameter polishing device(IA) fitted in a pipe(P) to remove weld beads and foreign matters comprises a first pipe member supplied with air inside to discharge the air to the outside; a second pipe member combined with the first pipe member at the inner diameter to be supplied with a polishing fluid inside; an expansible member attached on the outer diameter surface of the second pipe member to be expanded according to air pressure; and a polishing material attached on the surface of the expansible member to be expanded together with the expansible member.
