A liquid crystal panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent damage to corner portions of a dummy source/drain metal pattern and a dummy semiconductor pattern and thus improve uniformity of a cell gap of the liquid crystal panel by forming the dummy source/drain metal pattern and the dummy semiconductor pattern as a circular shape. A lower substrate(101) faces an upper substrate(111), includes a data line and a gate line(102) intersecting each other, a pixel electrode formed in a pixel region defined by the intersection of the data line and the gate line, a source electrode connected to the data line, a gate electrode connected to the gate line, a drain electrode connected to the pixel electrode, and a dummy source/drain electrode pattern formed on the gate line. A first pattern spacer maintains a gap between the upper substrate and the lower substrate, and is placed on the dummy source/drain electrode pattern. A second pattern spacer is placed between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. The dummy source/drain electrode pattern has a circular plane shape. |
