PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a button unit for a game machine, which is capable of effectively using an energy generated when an operator operates the game machine. SOLUTION: A left stop button 7L has a pushing part 105 being pushed by the player, a button base part 108 extending along the pushing direction, and a piezoelectric element 112 generating a power according to distortion formed when the pushing part 105 is pushed; the button base part 108 has a flange part 111 projecting to the side of a button storage part 102; the button storage part 102 has a flange part storage part 113 for storing the flange part 111; the flange part storage part 113 projects to the side of the left stop button 7L and has a projection part 114 provided at end part in the pushing direction of the flange part storage part 113; the piezoelectric element 112 is provided in the pushing direction side of the flange part 111 and, when the pushing part 105 is pushed, generates the power according to the distortion formed by being pushed by the flange part 111 and the projection part 114.
