PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which has a reduced internal resistance, and allows both durability and high-rate characteristic to be achieved at high level.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method as described above comprises the steps of: (i) preparing an electrode assembly including a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material, and a negative electrode having a negative electrode active material, provided that the positive electrode active material has a DEP oil absorption of 25-48 ml/100 g; (ii) putting the electrode assembly in a battery case together with a nonaqueous electrolyte, provided that the nonaqueous electrolyte includes a compound expressed by the general formula: A[PX(CO)](where Arepresents a cation of alkali metal, X represents a halogen atom, and n represents 1, 2 or 3) at a rate of 0.01-0.5 g per ampere-hour of battery capacity; and (iii) performing a charging process on the electrode assembly at least once. |
