A mounting structure of a rotary opening/closing member is provided to enlarge a receiving space of a box and couple/decouple the member easily by catching a catching piece with a catching recess and placing a shaft damper between a box and an instrument panel. A rotary shaft(17) of an instrument panel(2) is fitted into two bearing parts(15) to attach a globe box to an opening(21) of the instrument panel. A catching piece(33), which is attached to a braking shaft of a shaft damper(3) is caught with a catching recess(18) to place the shaft damper between the global box and the instrument panel. The globe box rotates on the rotary shaft. An upper surface of a box body is opened by withdrawing the box body from the instrument panel. The rotation of the global box is limited in a rotary angle range defined by a rotation restricting recess(331). A restriction projection(161) is slid in the rotation restricting recess. The restriction projection is projected to a damper attaching part(16) of the global box.
