PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool holder capable of performing ultrasonic machining with high machining accuracy and reliability. SOLUTION: The shrinkage-fitting type ultrasonic tool holder 1 includes a tapered and steel-made holder part 2 to be mounted on a rotational shaft. Jaws 5a, 5b, and a manipulator holding groove 6 are provided in the holder part 2. An frequency adjustment groove 20 is provided in the manipulator holding groove 6. A ferrite-made rotary transformer 8 on a rotating side is disposed between a tapered part of the holder part 2 and the jaw 5b of the holder part 2. The rotary transformer 8 on the rotating side is clamped and fixed by a steel-made fix ring 7 having a female thread. A piezoelectric ceramics 9 that is an ultrasonic transducer is bonded to an end face of a front part of the jaw 5a by heat-resistant epoxy resin. A steel-made pull stud 10 is screwed to a rear part of the holder part 2 of the shrinkage-fitting type ultrasonic tool holder 1. A chuck cylinder 3 is provided on a front part of the holder part 2.
