PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding roll hard to cause abrasion on its surface and hard to produce a damage in its surface shape when an embossed pattern is transferred to a base material containing foreign matter particles and much in moisture content and excellent in durability, its manufacturing method and a molding method using the molding roll. SOLUTION: The molding roll A has ultrahigh-molecular weight polyethylene, which has a transfer pattern formed on its surface, on its surface.
