PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker excellent in operability when opening and closing a door and convenient to use, capable of notifying a user of complete closing of the door. SOLUTION: This heating cooker is equipped with at least a heating chamber 2, an openable and closable door 6 to shut the opening 100 of the heating chamber for taking in and out a heating object 5, a door-closing detecting means 23 to detect the closed state of the door 6, a door-closing notifying means 24 to notify the closed state of the door 6, and a damping means to delay the closing speed of the door 6 in a door closing process.
