METHOD FOR PRODUCING HOMOALLYL ALCOHOL DERIVATIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing homoallyl alcohol obtainable in a high yield under a mild condition.

SOLUTION: By using an aldehyde and allylsilane as reaction materials and using as a solid catalyst Al-MCM-41 obtained by Al substitution of MCM-41, a silyl ether compound of the corresponding homoallyl alcohol derivative is obtained in a high yield in a short time under a mild condition. The corresponding homoallyl alcohol derivative is easily obtained from the silyl ether compound.
