PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily navigate grouped programs, based on a grouping standard by selecting continuously the grouped channels. SOLUTION: A cable plant broadcast signal is received at a cable drop 120 located near a viewer's home, and the ground broadcast is received at the viewer's home via an antenna 130. Then the digital data are received from the satellite broadcast via a satellite saucer-shaped antenna 140. Each of the received broadcasts is supplied to a decoder 110 to be processed there. In this case, a system integrates the programming services which are provided via one or more transmission lines. Thus, a viewer can continuously select the grouped channels, regardless of the broadcast signals, transmission lines, frequency, transport streams and/or PID. Furthermore, the grouped channels can be designated via the general channel designators such as the channel numbers, etc., via the system. |
