PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display and a liquid crystal display driving method including a surface light source device are provided to reduce the degree of timing in the liquid crystal display. CONSTITUTION: A display area partitions to a plurality of display space units. A plurality of planar light source device includes planar light source units in which the surface light source device copes with each display space unit is included. The light is induced in the display space unit in which each of the face-profiled light source unit copes with. A driving circuit(92) drives the liquid crystal display.
