PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary compressor for suppressing heat transfer from a cylinder and an end plate to a refrigerant in a compression part while suppressing a cost increase.SOLUTION: The rotary compressor includes a vertical sealed compressor casing having a discharge part for a refrigerant on the upper part and a suction part for the refrigerant on the lower part, for storing lubricating oil, the compression part arranged in the compressor casing for compressing the refrigerant sucked from the suction part and discharging it from the discharge part, a motor arranged in the compressor casing for driving the compression part via a rotating shaft, and an accumulator mounted on the lateral side of the compressor casing and connected to the suction part for the refrigerant. Dc, Hc and e are set so that a value found by an expression of (e+Hc) x (Dc-e)/(e x Hc)is smaller than 4.1, where Dc is the inner diameter of the cylinder as part of the compression part, Hc is the height of the cylinder, and e is the eccentricity of an eccentric part of the rotating shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
