PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the efficient use of memories even when a program is so constituted that one memory has a free space and the other is deficient by providing a selector which switches connection between the memories and memory buses in block units of the memories. SOLUTION: This digital signal processor is equipped with a 1st memory 1 for a program, 2nd and 3rd memories 2 and 3 for a program or data, a 1st memory bus 4 as a program bus which sends and receives an address and a data signal among the memories 1 to 3, 2nd and 3rd memory buses 5 and 6 as data buses, 1st and 2nd selectors 7 and 8, and a switch 9. Then the selector 7 switches the connection between the memory 1 and memory buses 4 to 6. The selector 8 switches connection between the memory 2 and memory buses 4 and 5 and connection between the memory 3 and memory buses 4 and 6 respectively. The switch means 9 controls switching operations of the selectors 7 and 8. |
