PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scribing apparatus eliminating the play of a bearing without receiving reactive force from a work and enabling good scribing work. SOLUTION: A main shaft 41 of a cutter-supporting member 50 (the 1st supporting member) supporting a foil cutter 60 (a contacting member) is connected to a shaft-supporting member 22 through a pair of axially arranged bearings 30, 40. A blot 54 (a tightening means, a screw) is screwed into the main shaft, the head 54a (the contacting part) of the bolt 54 is brought into contact with an inner ring 32 (a second orbit ring) of the upper bearing 30, the reactive force receiving part 51a of the main shaft is brought into contact with an inner ring 42 (a 2nd orbit ring) of the lower bearing 40 and these rings 32, 42 are forced in the approaching direction. Each inner ring 32, 42 is pressed against the outer ring 31, 41 (the 1st orbit ring) through balls 33, 43 (rolling member) by this structure.
