PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load drive controller capable of grasping a temperature condition of a separated load and controlling a load current to be capable of controlling the load temperature so that the load can appropriately operate under a high temperature environment. SOLUTION: This load drive controller has a driving means 3 supplying a current to the load 2, a load current control means 11 controlling a load current, a detection means 7 and a load temperature calculating means 12. The detection means detects information concerning a drive condition of the driving means. A load temperature calculating means calculates a supply current value based on detected element temperature information, peripheral temperature information and an internal resistance value of a known drive element and calculates a load resistance value based on the supply current value and an output end voltage value to obtain the load temperature corresponding to the load resistance value.
