RUBBER-REINFORCING CORD AND PNEUMATIC TIRE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber-reinforcing cord in which adhesive treatment-free cord end portions are reduced, and to provide a pneumatic tire which uses the rubber-reinforcing cords as the reinforcing layer of the tire and has excellent durability. SOLUTION: This rubber-reinforcing cord 3 is characterized by folding back a surface adhesion treatment-applied element wire 1 at both the ends in the longitudinal direction in a prescribed length and mutually twisting the reciprocated element wires 1 in a prescribed length to form a single cord. The pneumatic tire is characterized by covering the rubber-reinforcing cords 3 with a rubber and then using the covered cords as the reinforcing layer of the tire. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
