<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase combustion stability and exhaust performance in a partial load operating area, particularly, in a partial load operating area in a cool state by effectively utilizing a pulse generating device. <P>SOLUTION: The pulse generating device operated even in a partial load operating area according to temperatures corresponding to cylinder temperatures in an engine rotational speed area where the pulse generating device can be operated.
