<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose a VCSEL and a PD for APC on the same substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The optical unit is provided with a surface emitting laser that radiates a laser beam by surface emitting; an optical section comprising the substrate on the same plane of which the surface emitting laser and a light receiver that receives a part of the laser beam emitted from the surface emitting laser, a collimate lens that collimates the laser beam radiated from the surface emitting laser into parallel rays, a condensing lens that condenses the parallel rays radiated from the collimate lens on the end face of an optical fiber, and a reflection mirror that reflects a part of the parallel rays radiated from the collimate lens are mounted; and a control unit where the light reflected by the reflector is received by the light receiver, and the luminous energy of the laser beam radiated from the surface emitting laser is controlled according to the luminous energy of the reflected light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
